Tell Your Story > 2630 E Omaha Ave., Fresno CA scammed for deposit

Roman told me I had to provide a $2500 holding deposit to take the property off the market. This money would be converted to the cleaning deposit or returned to me if I decide not to rent after looking at the property. Part of the agreement was I would turn on utilities in my name for the couple of weeks his workers fixed up the house, in exchange for 2 months free rent. He took the deposit, showed me the house and disappeared when the City told me he had an outstanding balance. Now I can't move since he kept my deposit money I saved up.

This is a horrible story, but not unexpected. As you can see from both this website and from the Huntington Beach Community Forum on Facebook, there are numerous postings from several potential tenants for his Huntington Beach rental on Brad Drive. Very similar ciircumstances. Remember, desperate people do desperarate things. If it were me, I'd go to the Fresno Police Dept. and see what they can do to help you.

Same girl, almost.
He told me the same crap story and I’m so glad I just did a quick google search because my intuition was screaming and I wasn’t listening. I wish there was some way to help stop this guy! And thank you so much whoever started this page I was actually shocked it was an entire website about this one maniac. He was going by the name slevin in the Zillow post for this Fresno property!

Girl file a police report quickly! They can help get you the money back and save all the emails you have for them. I’ve just filed one and plan to help as much as I can! I’m so sorry this happened to you
