I dont believe this. I moved in to a home he owns. Words can not express. Oct 24 he has not been here he called us wanting us to pay 2 months in advance i advise him he has not done anything but call us day before rent is due promise to get started with all that need tobe done . so he sends someone in to fix the main issue like heating ,air, water.hope to gain 2200. Im not obligated to pay 2 months in advance. What is he thinking we dont even have fire detectors . i wan a lawyer

This is unbelievable. I have never heard of moving into a house that is not clean, let alone with dead cats. You are right, don't pay in advance 2 months rent. No respectable landlord would ever ask for this. I would check to make sure the house is not the foreclosure process (Notice of Default, etc.). Protect yourself.

Roman currently owns a number of houses in my neighborhood, including the three to my right, one of which he lives in. He has turned them into state rehab homes. While the ladies living in them seem kind enough, they too have been put through the wringer by him. I wonder, is there any chance this can be turned into a class-action suit? I am positive I can gain a number of supporters in this neighborhood. I do not have the knowledge or funds to start something like that but would be willing to help in any way possible if someone out there does. He can't keep getting away with this, he's wrecking lives and sitting pretty. It's hard to watch....

I am not an expert when it comes to rehab homes, but I believe there are both state and local laws governing them. Having 3 of them in your immediate neighborhood seems unreasonable to me.

Not sure about the class action law suit, but I do know that there is power in numbers. Go down to city hall with some of your neighbors and voice your legitimate concerns and issues. The more the better. Always remember -- Power to the People. I know someone in my neighborhood who was able to stop the house next to them from being a rehab house.

Directly across the street from his home, a new condo/apt unit is going up. They are corporate owned and clearly have hired someone to "clean up the neighborhood". Since construction started, he has been forced into a number of repairs but still is not up to code on most notes, in any of the homes he owns on that strip. I have been working with them, we file complaints synonymously. I am at every city council meeting (Second Tuesday of every month, at the CM City Hall). I would be more than happy to meet with any other complainants. I do not live in one of his properties so my only grounds are defamation to the neighborhood. Having his tenants there would certainly strengthen the case...
